OK, I'm looking for a bose system with multiple disk changer, but also one that will dock my ipod. I've looked on the bose website, but it isn't really informative. Any ideas?

You can check qvc.com, they offer a tun of bose stuff. or call directly. if you have good credit, you can make payments. Personally I think there pricey

Everyone's right! Bose is not worth the money you pay for such an inferior product. Do some research online, and you can read all about their deceptve sales demos, and many other crooked things they do to people. I had a Bose, paid $500 for it, but sold it cheaper. I now have a $150 JVC that is XM and iPod ready, and has a disc changer besides!

I noticed that when I called them to ask a question, they were really ready to sell me one. They were almost, but not quit, pushy. I do like their sound though. It is awesome! I've never heard anything like it, but I will do more research.

Any ideas, and kelly, what specifically, do you have? How much was it?

Post 8 by BigDogDaddy (Help me, I'm stuck to my chair!) on Friday, 13-Jun-2008 8:08:53

I actually had a bose 3 2 1 and when I heard my friends Onkia 7.1 I sold it to purchase a system like his. The sound is absolutely amazing and it cost half of what my 3 2 1 cost! I was able to find an after market doc from asia so I even have my ipod hooked up ETC.

Do they still make those now? Do they make stereo with XM and Ipod docks or at least, the capabilities for them? As you can see, I don't know much about these things.

Post 10 by faithful angel (I'll have the last word, thank you!) on Friday, 13-Jun-2008 15:00:26

OK, what about a multi-disk changer as well? Maybe, I'm just asking for too much. I don't know.

Post 11 by faithful angel (I'll have the last word, thank you!) on Friday, 13-Jun-2008 15:55:14

OK, let me lay out what I want, and we'll go from there. I want at least a five disk changer. I want an ipod dock, and I want the speakers to be built into the system for portability sake. Anything else would be good. Oh, and I want a dock for my XM radio.

I paid 900 fore mine. I have a 6 disk changer with it as well. I think you van doc the ipod up to it and it comes with a thing fore the xm as well. I think they have the 908 now the one I have is the 900 I think I don't think there is to much difference because I only baught mine a year ago

I don't have a stereo systerm from bose, but I do have the music monitor speakers, the sound is totally awesome, It was definatley a surprise, one of my friends got them for me, I didn't ask for them, but I'm glad I have them.

Post 14 by faithful angel (I'll have the last word, thank you!) on Friday, 13-Jun-2008 23:24:42

Kelly, did your system come with a five disk cd changer or did you have to buy that separately?

Post 15 by faithful angel (I'll have the last word, thank you!) on Friday, 13-Jun-2008 23:44:21

I just looked online, and that system is huge. I want something the size of a bose or so that does all the things mentioned above. I guess I don't have many options. Hmmm, oh well.

Post 16 by kelly (Zone BBS Addict) on Saturday, 14-Jun-2008 22:51:25

it came with a 6 disk changer that can play pritty much every format its so awesome and easy to use. Well worth every penny I tell everyone to go with an onkio. People are so amazed when they hear it and how much cheaper it is than bose and I think it sounds so much better than bose. Once a salesman at circuitcity was trying to sell thos guy a bose and I interupted and said um listen to this onkio and um yeah he bought it and he thanked me for saving him so much money. The sales guy was not so happy but o well

I've looked on crutchfield.com, and I don't see one with a six disk changer. Hmmm,

Post 18 by faithful angel (I'll have the last word, thank you!) on Sunday, 15-Jun-2008 12:53:06

OK, you have to call crutchfield.com. I will be getting an apartment, so I don't want an onkyo with seven speakers. I think that would be too much for a small room. However, I've decided to purchase the onkyo 904. I refuse to bow to bose. The onkyo has every thing I was looking for for literally 2/3 of the price of the bose system I was looking at. And that bose system, I didn't even ask about XM support, and it would have still been fifteen hundred dollars, which is stupid. Personally, now that I've done research, I think bose is overpriced, and in my opinion, overrated. More people should do research before they buy their home theater systems. Sorry for the rant. When I purchase the system, I'll let you guys know how I like it.

I heard the seven speaker system in the store, and was amazed. However, since I will be getting a small apartment, I think that seven speaker would be way too much sound. It would just bounce off the walls. I will have to do more research on that part, but that will come. Either way, I will be buying an onkyo product.

I know which one you bought kelly. They don't make it anymore. That's OK though. I know what I want now. Thanks guys.

The electronic salesmen at best buy talked me out of a bose and into a clipsch quintette. About $900 that includes a 12 inch sub, CD changer comes separate. I'm very happy with a durible system that can handle movies as well as sound like a shelf audio stereo. I can't stress how important speaker wire is, please choose a high end wire like monster, there is a difference for those who have a well tuned ear. What makes a difference is also the receiver you might hook your speakers to. Personally I enjoy yamaha, because it delivers a tight acoustic sound that yamaha is best known for, but you can try a few out at the stores and find a good deal online. Hope this helps anybody make that great investment.

Post 23 by faithful angel (I'll have the last word, thank you!) on Friday, 27-Jun-2008 23:08:09

I agree. I am still looking at onkyo. Also yamaha. I haven't completely decided. It will come.

I want a complete theater system. The thing is onkyo's disk changer don't get good reviews, and I'd like to stick with one brand. Any suggestions?

I have an onkyo receiver and a 5.1 bose speaker system...
Spent like 900 for those speakers. I got ripped.. bleh
Anyhow, the system sounds excellent.
But perhaps I could have spent much less on the speaker set? *shrug*

Now I'm looking at a new onkyo with full hdmi up conversion. mmmm, sounds tasteful.
High def sound is amazing, not just the pictures.
If you go for a system, make sure it can process hi-def and step towards the future.
